Vassilis Frantzolas originates from Lygourio in Argolida, while his family has a long tradition in the commerce of olive oil and standardization. He completed his studies in civil engineering at the NTUA and has been very active in his professional activity for more than 30 years. He holds an M.Sc. in Construction Management (U.S.A.) and since 2009 he holds an M.Sc. in Food Policy (UK). In 2003 he founded the organization Oliveoilseminars with a strong activity in the field of training of olive oil producers. Since 2016 he has been organizing 4 month training seminars for Olive Oil Tasters, jointly with the National Association of Italian Olive Oil Tasters (ONAOO). He has authored and published three books, including "Modern techniques of olive cultivation and production of quality olive oil" (386 pages, second edition 2021).
